What is IP Purity?

IP Purity (also known as Risk Score or Fraud Score) measures the reputation of an IP address based on its historical behavior. Industry risk engines analyze whether an IP has been involved in scanning, brute-force attacks, spam, or botnet activity. The lower the score, the cleaner the IP.

Industry Risk Tiers

0 – 15Ultra Clean
Highest purity. No risk history detected.
15 – 25Clean
Safe and reliable for all scenarios.
25 – 40Neutral
No obvious risk, but not optimal.
40 – 50Mild Risk
May trigger basic fraud detection.
50 – 70Elevated Risk
Likely to be flagged by platforms.
70+Critical Risk
Blacklisted. Immediate block expected.

IP Address Types

Residential IP

Assigned by ISPs to home broadband users. Highest trust level across all platforms.

Data Center IP

Allocated to servers in data centers. Easily detected and often blocked by streaming and financial services.

Broadcast IP

IP ranges advertised across multiple countries by global cloud providers (AWS, GCP). Registration country differs from actual location.
